Without your help, my students would not have been given the learning opportunity they deserve. The school where I am at has a lot of students who do not have much income coming in at home. The least they deserve is an opportunity to receive great learning. \r\n\r\nI became a band director because I want to give each student a fair opportunity because I know how it feels to be that student who did not have much support. I always had to ask a friend or teacher to borrow their things. I also couldn't practice my instrument at home either, as I grew up in a crowded apartment with 7 other family members. \r\n\r\nFast forward to now, I asked for donations to help my classroom buy providing drum pads and drum stands, so they can practice at home, whether they have a crowded apartment, home , they can get better each day at their instrument. This musical opportunity also helps relieve stress from parents who cannot afford to pay the band fees for their students. Playing an instrument also helps in the future for students to pay for college, whether they want to be a music teacher or not, they provide scholarships just for playing your instrument. \r\n\r\nAgain I appreciate your help, and hope that you can help me with any of my next projects for my students.
