Most students had never been to the museum before and many had never been to an art museum at all.\r\n\r\nThe sketchbooks were a huge hit on our outing! Students were able to fill transitional times by making art and we were able to get a docent-led sketching tour of pieces from the permanent collection. \r\n\r\nStudents were impressed by their ability to record what they saw, as well as by the high quality of the sketchbooks. They were grateful that they were able to keep them as a record of their day. \r\n\r\nThank you so much for making student sketchbooks for this art trip possible for students. It will also be a great asset during testing and as we are making this interesting adjustment to a school without access to phones during the day. It also provides students with the ability to take wonder ship in their own learning through choices. Students will get to choose which book they want to read and will live in that book space for about a month. I'm so very excited for this, especially for my reluctant readers.
