The funding for this project has enabled our dysregulated students to have access to a safe and calming tent, as well as floor tiles, to help them regulate their emotions. The weighted animals are great for students to hold while they discuss heavy topics in individual or group sessions. Every student who enters my office gravitates toward the sand tray.\r\nWe had our state testing last week, and when the small group I was testing was done, I brought them into my office. They said I have the coolest room in the school, and that is precisely what I was hoping to create. I wanted a place that students enjoyed visiting.\r\nMy next steps are to continue using the fantastic resources you have provided and start lending them to teachers with students who need them, so they can begin to learn self-regulation.
