They love the bright colors of the new Robotics kits and how easy it is to get familiar with the device! \r\n\r\nWe are planning on participating in Robotics Competitions in the Spring. We will compete at the GEAR Robotics challenge. In this competition, teams of about 3 students work to program their robot to complete challenges on a table that is about 4'x 9.' These challenges include moving pieces from place to place, retrieving items, and lifting levers. Students build their robot with attachments and work to create a program that will complete as many of the challenges as possible in less than 2 minutes! It is a fun competition and the students really get excited about it! \r\n\r\nWith the help of your donation, I will be able to have more teams participate in this competition and in future competitions. It is always my goal to introduce students to computer science, give them the skills they need to be successful in their future, and let them have some fun while they do it!
