You have positively impacted learning for over 100 middle school students. \r\n\r\nInitially, the students were speechless that an organization would be so generous and want to improve their learning opportunities. I explained that, through Donors Choose, organizations can make meaningful impact on their community schools.\r\n\r\nI was able to label pencils with each students name which helped make the donation personal. I did the same with the colorful headphones. A few students felt awkward, at first, to put on their headphones, but it soon became the norm. The headphones allowed the students to focus, not be distracted by others, and play learning videos at their own pace and listen to their own type of approved music. The privacy boards were also extremely helpful in allowing students to take exams at their own pace. The testing environment was respected with no talking nor distractions.\r\n\r\nWe are honored that you selected us as your recipients. You have helped students recognize that their community has a supportive interest in their learning.","fullyFundedDate":1769177068091,"projectUrl":"project/self-paced-math/9763351/","projectTitle":"Self-paced Math","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Perez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10177242"},{"teacherId":6886842,"projectId":9857792,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for donating to my project. It has helped so much to have supplies in the classrooms I support. So many of the students are so appreciative of the supplies for their classrooms and it has been so much easier to move forward with the tools needed to teach.\r\n When I created this project I was covering for two vacancy middles school math positions, and since then one teacher has been hired and she is off to an awesome start. It was so great to be able to give her supplies to be able to start off on the right foot even though she was starting in the middle of the year. Her classroom got posters, dry erase boards and markers, batteries for all the calculators and organization and storage solutions for supplies and papers. The students in this classroom are really starting to thrive and grow. \r\nThe other vacancy position remains a vacancy and will not be filled this year. Between me, one other inclusion teacher and our stem instructional coach we are doing the best we can to bring learning into this classroom. Having the supplies to teach makes this task easier. All the calculators have new batteries. The walls are no longer bare, and we always have pencils to give to students. While I am still worried about how successful this students will be on their state tests this year, I know they supported and valued because of all the help they have received from the staff here and your generous donations.","fullyFundedDate":1765302409016,"projectUrl":"project/help-the-math-teachers-quit/9857792/","projectTitle":"Help! the Math Teachers Quit!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Newton","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6886842_orig.jpg?crop=480,480,x147,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1571060264765","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6886842"},{"teacherId":8502857,"projectId":8442801,"letterContent":"My students are stunned that there are people who don't know them that are willing to support their education.
