Students of every ability level can experience success when learning is hands on. Students build, document, and present their work to each other and beyond. We are going to build and launch model rockets as we study the forces at work, and determine height and distance based on angles. This project is tied to a unit on kinematics where students use trigonometry to find distances and velocities based on angles they record as the rocket launches. This project will help teach problem solving, math skills, communication, collaboration as well as physics. The model rocket kits I am asking for will allow my students to do this project.
