Funding is at a historical low, so it has been difficult to fund sports equipment when there are bigger needs. Our campus serves over 800 3rd-6th students. With this many students on an elementary campus, we are utilizing every space for recess. This means most students do not have access to the playground daily and have recess in open fields. \r\n\r\nWhen all materials arrived on campus, I separated all materials into grade level bundles and labeled each piece. I then placed all materials on a rolling cart and walked them into each grade levels pod. Students' faces lit up when seeing all the new equipment. Teachers were equally as excited. \r\n\r\nOne area this impacted the most was with my most reserved students. Students who normally chose to not engage with the larger soccer or tag games, where interested in engaging with peers. I watch kids ask peers to play checkers, and it was heart warming.","fullyFundedDate":1758219327404,"projectUrl":"project/let-the-children-play/9594695/","projectTitle":"Let the Children Play!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Lyons","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp3079894_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1539111997899","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3079894"},{"teacherId":1507664,"projectId":9261278,"letterContent":"Our 5th Graders are so grateful for your donation to restock our STEM Lab!
