My class has LOVED all of the items in our dramatic play kitchen area. That center has become very popular and I have to do a rotation to ensure all of the kids get some time there. The kids love getting to set up the table with the dishes and food and have tea parties or \"family dinner\" there. \r\n Once the materials arrived my students watched me in amazement as I unboxed all of the items. The were so excited. When I opened the new African American baby doll so many of my students were in awe. They said \"that's my baby it looks like me!\" There were also baby bottles that look like they fill and empty. It is so cute watching my boys hold and feed the baby. They also love to pretend to be a chef. They are in the kitchen chopping away at all of the food items. It has been amazing watching this center help them expand their vocabulary and interpersonal skills. \r\n While this center may seem like easy play, these kids are hard at work. While in the dramatic play center I have seen amazing growth in my students vocabulary, literacy, and communication skills. These center items help my students use their imagination. Through the use of these materials my students are expanding their social-emotional knowledge, problem solving skills, and self-regulation.
