As you can see in the pictures, the classroom rug truly improved our classroom. It really pulled the library together and gave them a soft spot to read. The best thing about it was that it was the idea of one of my students (the one on the left in the picture). One day she said, \"Ms. Bennett, you should get a rug for the library. It would make it look so much better!\" Imagine her delight when we received this beautiful rug. It really gave her a confidence boost. The other thing I love about this rug is that students like to use the map to show each other where their families are from. \r\n\r\nThe headphones were also a HUGE hit. The students were so excited to be getting new headphones that were their own to keep. This helped us in class when we did project work in class and also when students worked on review skills online. \r\n\r\nAgain, thank you so much for your support! Many have been frequently checked out since we got them. The Spanish language soccer books have been a huge hit with the Ronaldo fans, and the Pele biography gets checked out often, as well. A few students who are learning Japanese on their own through an app, were thrilled to have the Japanese picture dictionary.\r\n\r\nOne of the most unexpected results came from our sign language picture dictionary. We got a brand-new student who is hearing impaired but had not learned any ASL.
