I teach 22 beautiful and wonderful 6-8 grade special education students. Their disabilities range from autistic to intellectually delayed. My students are on average 3-8 academic years behind their same age peers. My school is located in one of the most economically disadvantaged areas of the city. Our school community is high crime and economically disadvantaged. My students are very transient.
