The small rug and kid-sized couch instantly made the area feel warm and inviting, and my students quickly learned that it's a safe place they can choose when they need a moment to breathe or reset. Instead of feeling embarrassed or overwhelmed by big emotions, they now have a cozy spot where they feel supported and ready to regroup.\r\n\r\nThe sensory tools have been especially helpful. I've watched students quietly pick up a fidget or stress ball, sit for a minute or two, and then return to their activity on their own. These moments may seem small, but for five- and six-year-olds, they are huge steps toward building self-control and emotional awareness. Having everything organized in a basket also helps them take ownership of the space and learn responsibility.\r\n\r\nYour donation did so much more than provide a few items - it created a place where my students can learn how to manage their feelings and get back to learning with confidence. This calm-down corner has quickly become an essential part of our classroom, and I am truly grateful for the positive impact it's already having on my students.
