These magazines have definitely boosted student engagement. They are so enthusiastic and proud of themselves as they find a quiet place to dive into their very own magazine. They absolutely love, love, love the \"Talk About It\" sections and we have had some great conversations on the story carpet these last few weeks! They ask me all the time when the next one will arrive...\r\n I can also see the growth in their knowledge of real world current events. They have become so curious about the topics found in their Scholastic Magazines such as America's 250th Birthday (which they are now noticing news stories about it on television) or the latest edition about Summer Fun. One student has even convinced her parents to allow her to play community soccer this summer after reading about it in her magazine and telling them all about the benefits of team sports and exercise. \r\n The impact of your generosity has already begun and who knows how far and long it will last... maybe forever!!
