These materials will allow my students to explore with their hands by moving and making letters, numbers, shapes, and many other things in different center areas in the classroom. Students will be able to make, pretend and manipulate objects, so they can easily connect to the real world and remember what they learned in class. Many students do not get the chance to leave the city they live in, so it is my job to bring the world to them. We will be able to use the hands-on science specimens to look, touch and feel things from insects to magnets. Another misconception is that the kitchen center (dramatic play) can only be the kitchen, but students will change dramatic play into a veterinarian office or a restaurant with the Pet Vet Center and Let's Pretend Restaurant writing box. These materials will make the students classroom experience more fun, hands-on, and memorable.
