The addition of flexible seating has completely changed that dynamic. Now, students have the freedom to choose a learning space that fits their needs — whether that's a cozy floor cushion, a wobble stool, or a low table where they can stretch out and concentrate. This sense of choice helps them feel ownership of their learning, and as a result, I've seen remarkable growth in both engagement and reading stamina. Some of my most reluctant readers have become the first to settle in with a book because they have found a space that truly works for them.\r\n\r\nThe reading phones have also made a tremendous impact. My students absolutely love using them during reading practice! These simple but powerful tools allow each child to hear their own voice as they read, which helps them focus on fluency, expression, and accuracy. For many, it's the first time they've truly been able to listen to themselves as readers. They giggle at first — it's fun to hear your voice echoing softly back — but soon, they begin adjusting their tone, slowing down, and rereading with confidence. I've noticed a clear improvement in pronunciation, comprehension, and self-monitoring skills. The pride they feel when they realize how much they've grown as readers is priceless.\r\n\r\nYour donation also made it possible for us to replenish our supply of basic classroom materials like pencils, notebooks, and organizational bins — small items that make a big difference in creating a smooth, supportive learning environment. With these resources, students are better prepared and less distracted, which means more time is spent focused on learning and less on worrying about missing materials.\r\n\r\nIt's heartwarming to watch how all of these elements — the flexible seating, reading phones, and fresh supplies — have worked together to create a space where students feel comfortable, capable, and excited to learn. They look forward to reading time every day now, and their confidence grows with each passing week.
