They were so excited when it arrived in a big box and were even more excited to see it when it was ready to play with. Since the sand/water table arrived, my students have been able to explore a variety of textures, including wet, soft, shiny, and hard. They have been able to increase their fine motor skills by using handy scoops (similar to bug catchers) and shovels. My students have been able to sort different manipulatives with their hands. They have also been able to explore different manipulatives and name them by shapes and colors. My students have also been able to expand their vocabulary and their social skills while playing with other children. \r\nMy students look forward to when I switch out the sand/water table every couple of weeks! I have enjoyed brainstorming different items to go into the table. I love seeing that my students are learning and growing their skills while they are playing every day!!\r\nMy student's joy for learning while playing with the sand/water table is due to your generous donation to my classroom.
