My students have been anxiously awaiting the arrival of our praying mantis egg sack (which came this week)! In the meantime, they have researched and learned so many new things about these interesting insects - from their life span, to where they live, what they eat, their body parts, and even, that when our 100-200 little ones emerge from the sack, they must be separated or they will kill each other. \r\n My 6th graders have also enjoyed learning about thermal energy while making smores with our new hot plates and learning about the movement of waves with our wave machine! 7th graders on the other hand, have loved using our hot plates to learn about chemical and physical reactions and using the bouncy balls to learn about force and motion! Your generosity has sparked so much excitement within the walls of my classroom!
