On the first day of arrival, we shared the big surprise to our students. Opening the boxes of new magnetic dry-erase boards, writing journals, and personal scrapbooks immediately sparked an excitement within the students. \r\nOur project focuses on using different writing methods to allow students time to practice without worry of errors, while also providing different journaling materials for the students to document growth throughout the year. Students use the magnetic boards to practice letter formation, word building, and sentence structure. \r\nTo help the students see growth, students journal and practice writing in individual writing journals. Since the onset, students have written/ drawn about poetry, nonfiction topics, and personal narratives. Students are able to look and see growth and set new academic goals. \r\nDuring the next few months, students will invite parents in to assist with a piece of writing and share the writing created during the year. This will be a positive way for parents and students to share excitement about the learning taking place.","fullyFundedDate":1758827424602,"projectUrl":"project/writing-small-hands-with-big-ideas/9615686/","projectTitle":"Writing Small Hands With Big Ideas!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Tackett","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2393730_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1723346357584","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/2393730"},{"teacherId":1891212,"projectId":9660482,"letterContent":"I cannot even express the overwhelming gratitude for the donation of Writer's Scrapbooks for my class.
