This is the first thing that we do when they come to class. By doing this students have increased vocabulary and improved cognitive skills. Today we read The Color Monster and then we made monster puppets. I used this to introduce lines, shapes, colors and emotions. One story a student enjoyed hearing was Sheep in the Jeep because he enjoyed the story and his dad has a Jeep.\r\n\r\nThrough this donation of books my students are learning listening skills. Hearing a story read aloud involves some level of comprehension.
