We have already used in our Winter Expo Concerts and have plans to use it as we prepare for Concert Performance Assessment and our other Spring performances. We have used the mallets across my sixth, seventh, and eighth grade classes. One of the new songs my sixth graders are playing this semester is Mechanical Monsters by Randall Standridge. The timpani part has interesting sections and the new mallets make it attainable for my students to play. The pitch pipe has an attachment that moves and allows students to make sure of the note they are playing much easier than the model we have had in the past.
