It has been wonderful to have extra parts to replace broken pieces in our instruments and extra felts and metal for our cymbals. Around this time every year, minor pieces will often break on student's instruments. Our town does not have a music store, so the instruments that have to be sent to be repaired are usually gone for two to three weeks. Being able to fix minor things myself allows my students to stay engaged and continue learning.
