I teach roughly 200 students each week and my goal as their PE teacher is to provide them access to new games/activities in hopes they will become life long learners. Majority of my students do not partake in sports outside of school so providing them the resources within my classroom has been beneficial. Each year, I make it my mission to incorporate something new. In the last few years, I have had students ask if we will ever play tennis. I listened, created this project and with your help, their wish will be brought to life. \r\n\r\nMy students showed so much excitement when they saw the equipment and are eager to learn the skills and rules of tennis. Although we have not had our tennis unit yet, I know the students will come to class with enthusiasm and determination. This project could not have been accomplished without the help from you, so again, thank you for supporting my students and their learning!","fullyFundedDate":1758566640463,"projectUrl":"project/serving-the-skills-of-tennis/9434809/","projectTitle":"Serving the Skills of Tennis!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Lamb","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8067338"},{"teacherId":472436,"projectId":8747567,"letterContent":"My students and I can't thank you enough for providing us with all of our new supplies. The smiles on my students' faces as I showed them these fun materials lit up the room! They could not wait to try everything out.\r\n\r\nStudents have been enjoying the opportunity to practice writing on their new whiteboards while writing word lists and dictated sentences to reinforce new spelling patterns. The primary writing notebooks have also been especially useful to my first graders who are just learning proper letter formation. The folders and pencil cases have been the perfect place for students to store all of their new books and supplies.\r\n\r\nI am working with small groups of students that need the extra boost of reading and writing practice to catch up to their grade level peers. I am seeing growth with all of my students and I am certain the colorful supplies have been a motivator for them. In the upcoming weeks we will be taking our year end testing, and I know my students will be able to meet their learning goals because of consistent teaching along with the right materials that are only available to us due to the support of donors like you!","fullyFundedDate":1733358799411,"projectUrl":"project/writing-in-color/8747567/","projectTitle":"Writing in Color!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Herscher","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp472436_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1468188799277","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/jherscher"},{"teacherId":9736711,"projectId":8749873,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting our classroom through your thoughtful donations! Your generosity has made an incredible impact on my students' daily learning and overall well-being, and I'm excited to share how we've been using these materials.\r\n\r\nThe students were thrilled when the boxes arrived. They couldn't believe these wonderful resources were just for them! \r\n\r\nWe've been using the materials in so many ways. The cookie packs, candy, and Pop-Tarts have been a wonderful source of motivation and nourishment. They've become part of our reward system, helping students stay focused and work toward positive behavior goals. Knowing there's a treat waiting for them has encouraged them to put in their best effort during lessons and activities.\r\n\r\nFor emotional regulation, the Mindful Maze Garden and \"Little Spot\" books have been game-changers. Students are learning to manage their emotions with mindfulness exercises, and the books have sparked meaningful discussions about feelings, self-regulation, and empathy. \r\n\r\nThe folders, whiteboards, composition notebooks, and headphones are being used every day during lessons. The whiteboards have been especially helpful during phonics and math activities, where students can practice skills in an engaging and interactive way. The composition notebooks have provided a dedicated space for writing, and my students are proudly filling them with stories and reflections. The headphones have been invaluable for computer-based lessons, allowing students to focus on their individualized learning tasks without distractions.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we're excited to continue using these resources to build on our progress. Your generosity has created a classroom environment where my students feel supported, motivated, and excited to learn. Thank you for believing in us and for helping make this possible.
