Every student-based, primary classroom should be equipped with learning centers that provoke inquiry, investigation, and support for deeper learning and continued understanding. These materials will be used specifically in our Sensory Table Center to help students with tactile-kinesthetic learning. Tell me and I will forget; Show me and I may remember; Involve me and I will understand. The sand will be used to fill a sensory table that we already have in our room. This will give us a fun, hands-on material to house our colorful learning tools. Scoops, measuring cups, and tweezers will also be used to help develop fine-motor skills. Colorful manipulatives (counter toys) will reinforce learning goals that involve sorting and organizing.
