The project also strengthened connections between visual arts and language arts as students participated in a writer's workshop with the Pat Conroy Literary Center to create original stories about their monsters. Through this unique partnership, students experienced meaningful hands-on learning, artistic expression, and community engagement. The culminating visit to Beaufort Elementary School, where middle school students presented their sculptures and read their stories to the young artists who inspired them, created a memorable and rewarding experience for all participants.
