I moved to my current school during the 2022-2023 school year from another school in my district that was being repurposed. Many of the manipulatives (especially my block manipulatives) had been in the classroom I was previously in for a while. They were very worn no longer usable. That meant, for my current students it was time to replace those materials with new ones. \r\nFor the past 3 years or so, my students have really enjoyed building things. This years group is no different. They have really enjoyed building with our blocks and they have enjoyed creating their own little cities and towns. They include the traffic signs, the garages, and the people everytime blocks is open for play. I get excited hearing their conversations about all the new adventures they create in our classroom. \r\nThanks to you, they are able to make those conversations happen and they are able to create endlessly. With \"Flex About It,\" our goal was to create a flexible, inclusive, and adaptable learning environment where students can move, collaborate, and grow in ways that feel natural to them. By incorporating materials for hands-on exploration and vital literacy tools to support early reading skills, we aim to meet the diverse academic, social, and emotional needs of all students. Flexible spaces empower young learners to take ownership of their learning, encouraging creativity, independence, and collaboration from the very beginning of their school careers.\r\n\r\nThis project has transformed our classroom into a dynamic space where students can build, read, create, and connect. Having access to hands-on tools and flexible learning materials allows every child — whether they are mastering letter sounds, problem-solving with shapes, or working in small groups — to engage in ways that match their learning style. Your support makes our classroom a welcoming and adaptable place where every child can thrive, laying a strong foundation for future academic success and a lifelong love of learning.","fullyFundedDate":1723666398656,"projectUrl":"project/flex-about-it/8413732/","projectTitle":"Flex About It","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Churchill","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp2939581_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1457648303487","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/churchill24"},{"teacherId":4382028,"projectId":9090969,"letterContent":"My students have absolutely enjoyed all of the Magnetic block sets that were donated to us through the Donor's Choose program.
