Your gift has already made a remarkable difference in the lives of our students, and we wanted to share the profound impact your generosity continues to have every single day.\r\n\r\nOur Grade 4 inclusion class serves students with varied learning differences, including those with visual processing challenges, fine motor difficulties, and learning disabilities. Before your donation, we relied on traditional methods to present materials—holding up papers, passing around objects, or using outdated technology. The document camera has revolutionized how we teach and engage our learners.\r\n\r\nThe ability to project enlarged images onto our classroom screen has been transformative. Students who struggle with small print can now see materials clearly and independently. A student who previously felt frustrated trying to read from a distance now actively participates in lessons, her confidence visibly growing each day. Another student, who has fine motor challenges, can now show his work to the entire class without the anxiety of holding materials up himself—the camera does it for him, allowing him to focus on the content rather than the physical task.\r\n\r\nWhat truly sets this tool apart is how it fosters independence and self-advocacy. Students can document their own work, their own thinking processes, and their own progress. One student now regularly volunteers to share his math strategies with classmates by positioning his work under the camera. The pride on his face as he explains his thinking to his peers is immeasurable. This simple act of being able to share and be heard has boosted his self-esteem dramatically.\r\n\r\nThe document camera has also enhanced our ability to teach life skills and practical concepts. We use it to demonstrate proper handwriting, show step-by-step instructions for tasks, display real-world visuals, and create engaging mini-lessons tailored to our students' needs. Teachers can slow down instruction, zoom in on details, and give students time to process—something that's crucial for learners who need extra support.\r\n\r\nBeyond student benefits, your donation has empowered our teaching team. Rather than spending valuable preparation time creating multiple copies or workarounds, our teachers can now present materials efficiently and flexibly. This saves time and resources while allowing our educators to focus on what they do best: meeting students where they are and scaffolding their learning.\r\n\r\nYour investment in this technology sends a powerful message to our students: you matter, your learning matters, and we will provide you with the tools you need to succeed. That message resonates far beyond our classroom walls.\r\n\r\nWe are deeply grateful for your belief in our students and your commitment to inclusive, equitable education. Your generosity has equipped us not just with equipment, but with the means to unlock potential, build confidence, and create a classroom where every child feels seen and supported.","fullyFundedDate":1775179763532,"projectUrl":"project/zoom-in-on-inclusive-learning/10160238/","projectTitle":"Zoom in on Inclusive Learning","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Bedrosian","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp3656721_orig.jpg?crop=1105,1105,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1588183663422","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3656721"},{"teacherId":3656721,"projectId":9776408,"letterContent":"We are incredibly grateful for your support. It is hard to explain the how much the materials my classroom received helped me. Writing was a big part of my classroom this past year. We journaled quite a bit, it helped some of my kids express themselves and for others it gave them a chance to be creative and find a voice. We often shared our journals in front of the class so they were able to practice their speaking as well. \r\n The notebooks were very handy for my subjects, it helped us keep things organized and gave them a way to take notes, show their work and keep things in order. The dry erase markers were invaluable. We used them every day. They were especially used for math, students knew that when I said to take out their math tools that their dry erase markers were on of the essential tools. \r\n For some, notebooks and markers may not seem like such a big deal but when you do not have them, there is a big difference. Although, some of my kids were not the best at keeping their markers together I had enough to give to students when their markers dried out. I truly appreciate the support.","fullyFundedDate":1726687968296,"projectUrl":"project/writing-opens-a-whole-new-world/8792736/","projectTitle":"Writing opens a whole new world.","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Angel","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9164836_orig.png?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1751723072877","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9164836"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_68274","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":477,"numTeachers":43,"percentFrplEligible":86,"percentAsian":3,"percentBlack":12,"percentWhite":7,"percentIndigenous":1,"percentLatinx":64,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":4,"gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"11.1:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_MIDSIZE"},"inStateSupporters":64.1,"schoolId":68274,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Anthony Carnevale Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Anthony Carnevale Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/rhode-island/providence-public-school-district/anthony-carnevale-elementary-school/68274"}
