I'm a newer teacher for students with severe intellectual and physical disabilities, teaching students in grades Kindergarten, first, and second grade. In order to access and understand concepts and curriculum, The students require extensive adaptations and modifications. Many of the things I need to meet their unique needs are very expensive, and I struggle to provide these needed supplies. Much of what I have is created by hand, by me, but I need more. The image shown is a board I have created to support visually impaired students participate in circle time. Students at this level require hands on activities and sensory experiences to facilitate learning. Worksheets and typical classroom supplies have very little use to them. I need your help to get them what they need!
