My students came into a classroom that had a magnificent reading center for them to explore many texts. It was so nice to have a shelf that easily stored all of the books at a level that was accessible to them. Each morning, as the students finish up breakfast, they are able to go to the shelf and select a book that they are interested in.\r\n\r\nWe haven't reached the level of the chapter books quite yet, but I have them on display to peak their interest. When I read off the titles to the students, they began whispering excitedly to each other! The boys were very excited to hear they could be reading about Lebron James.
