In fifth grade, students have very different learning needs, so we frequently use differentiated assignments, intervention activities, graphic organizers, reference sheets, and additional practice materials. Having a printer right in our classroom allows me to quickly create and provide these resources without losing valuable instructional time.\r\n\r\nWhat is most exciting about having our new printer is that students know we can create and print something they need right when they need it. If a student needs extra practice, a visual support, or a different version of an assignment, we can make it happen without waiting.\r\n\r\nOur students who receive additional academic support have especially benefited from having resources that are tailored to their individual needs. Students who may struggle with a grade-level assignment can receive a modified or scaffolded version, while students who are ready for a challenge can receive enrichment activities. The printer helps me make sure that every student has an opportunity to access the math curriculum in a way that works for them.\r\n\r\nMost importantly, this technology helps us spend more time learning and less time waiting. Students practice problem-solving, communication, teamwork, decision-making, and real-world financial skills while working together in an environment that feels exciting and authentic.
