Visual supports, graphic organizers, task cards, and hands-on activities help students connect abstract ideas to concrete experiences. Instead of simply listening to a lesson, students are actively participating, discussing, sorting, building, and practicing skills in ways that keep them engaged and motivated to learn.\r\n\r\nThe impact has been particularly noticeable among students who benefit from additional visual supports and structured learning opportunities. Laptop trackpads can be so tricky for small hands to use, especially when they are trying their best on a big test. Having a real mouse to hold onto made a world of difference! It helped our kids click exactly where they wanted to, taking away the frustration of accidental slips so they could relax and focus entirely on doing their absolute best.\r\n\r\nWe have a few students who usually get very nervous on test days, sometimes because they struggle with the finger control needed for laptop trackpads. These sweet students completely warmed up to the new mice. Having that physical mouse to hold onto seemed to wash away their test anxiety and gave them a wonderful boost of confidence. It was incredibly heartwarming to see them go from feeling overwhelmed to smiling and working calmly through their tasks.\r\n\r\nJust a little note: To keep our testing private and secure, we aren't allowed to take photos during the actual PSSAs.
