I have three words for you...student centered classroom. With flexible seating, my classroom will be just that. The students have choice and flexible seating leads to better collaboration, creativity, and concentration that helps develop a sense of community and improve social skills. “If student motivation and higher engagement is truly the desired end game, then we as teachers must adapt right along with our students in our classrooms." Flexible seating will make this quote come true in my classroom. Wobble stools, yoga balls, cushions, low-tables, etc. will help my students' attention spans, improve behavior, and be engaged in their learning. Who wouldn't want to learn in a 1st grade classroom with flexible seating?!
