My students have taken an interest in being authors of their own books! They spend time at the writing center drawing and stapling pieces of paper together to write their own stories. I would love to be able to provide them with the supplies to author their own book. I would like to provide them with a tape of them reading their story. By doing this, the story provides a new element of ownership for them. I want to conclude the project with a Meet The Author night and present each student with a chair to take home and continue the desire to read and write outside of the classroom.
