Thanks to your generous contribution, there is one less aspect I have had to worry about: making the space beautiful. By having a well-decorated space, students are made to feel welcome and comfortable in the room where they spend so many hours of the day. Their work posted on the wall is in a decorated and celebrated position, their names and pictures can be seen in various themed areas, and they have access to the tools to maintain their own space.\r\n\r\nThe materials from this project have made noticeable impacts on this environment. The lamp and fairy lights help create calming ambient lighting for the afternoons; The birthday charts get kids excited about celebrating themselves and their peers; The classroom job chart gets them involved in caring for the classroom, making it feel like their own. In a building with no library or librarian, reading feels less accessible and attractive to the students. But thanks to your donations, our room has a dedicated classroom library! The bookshelf in particular has been a wonderful addition to our space. By having the books on display, rather than stuffed into bins, students are encouraged to select books from the shelf to read independently during Recreation Centers.\r\n\r\nAnother resource that has made a big difference is the set of small whiteboards. During our lessons, we use them for spelling practice, math drills, and multiple-choice review games. The students are always excited to use them, and it incentivizes them to participate more actively and proactively apply the skills and content they have learned.\r\n\r\nThank you so much for your contributions. It has made a shining difference in the space where the students and myself spend so many hours of our day.","fullyFundedDate":1753140045464,"projectUrl":"project/libraries-help-students-love-learning/9468319/","projectTitle":"Libraries Help Students Love Learning","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Wallihan","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9720065_orig.jpg?crop=1883,1883,x0,y193&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1752850708531","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9720065"},{"teacherId":9454239,"projectId":8184289,"letterContent":"Your support means the world to us!
