My students loved seeing how the energy from a star, most importantly our sun, radiate outward towards the surface to give us the light and heat that we can see and feel. \r\n\r\nThey loved being creative and choosing their own colors for each layer of the sun and allowing the \"secret liquid\" to help push the energy outward. \r\n\r\nThe second part of our project was to use the idea of stars and create constellations on black card-stock. The students chose their constellation and did their best to research and then create a glow in the dark constellation to hang among the stars in our room. \r\n\r\nThis project really helped my students understand how the Earth and Sky work together for heat, light and beauty.
