Because of your generosity, I didn't give hygiene kits to our 6th through 8th graders like I originally planned. Instead, enough was raised to cover our 5th graders, too! Our school nurse and I teamed up to put this project together, and seeing it all come to life was a really special moment. \r\n\r\nI brought all the students into the gym and handed out the kits packed in individual bags. They were so thankful! They were especially thrilled about the different lotion scents. For many of them, having brand-new personal care items of their very own made them feel truly cared for, and I noticed students using the items often throughout the school day.\r\n\r\nSeeing how much this helped my students has inspired me to keep this going! My next step is setting up a new DonorsChoose campaign for this school year so I can bring hygiene supplies to ALL of our 3rd through 8th graders.
