We do a lot of computer based learning in todays society! Students have invention, centers, and other learning opportunities to complete on their computer both in school and at home. This project gave students who came to school with no headphones the same access to these interventions as other students. Students were so excited that they had a pair of headphones waiting for them in their cubby when they arrived to school!\r\n\r\nIn addition, we do a lot of learning from the smart board. I travel to seven different classrooms throughout the day and all the students have benefitted from using the supplies! They use the headphones every day to complete their literacy and math interventions. It's important to keep the noise down so that there are no distractions and each child can focus on the skills they're practicing.\r\n\r\nWhen I work in my groups, my students love to use the new dry erase markers and erasers on our whiteboards! They practice writng their letters correctly on the dotted lines. Writing sentences is more fun with colorful markers!\r\n\r\nFor our skills block, students demostrate their understanding of phonics skills on games that I make. The velcro stickers you donated are necessary for the students to match the correct sounds or word patterns to the correct column. The really enjoy these activites that promote phonemic awareness.\r\n\r\nThank you again for your support of public education!
