This has truly changed my classroom lesson and atmosphere. My students are more eager to learn about microorganisms. Student participation in classroom discussions has increased and they have even begun to collaborate more with their peers, so much so that they're now working on group projects to create their own board game based on microorganisms with the basis of the game being that each group learns something new about their chosen microbe while playing each others games. We can't thank you enough for the difference you've helped to make within our classroom!\r\n\r\nWhen the students saw the microscopes, they were so eager to learn how to use them, exited when they were able to see the slides with them, and had a much better understanding of what it means to be a scientist and what microorganisms are and how small they actually are as well. With this new information and knowledge they've been able to ask and even answer deeper questions about bacteria, hair, fungus, and so much more.
