We are loving all of our new materials. The new sensory materials are really helping our students manage big emotions. They especially love the sensory friends and giving them big hugs when they are feeling frustrated or upset.The pop its are also being used to help students have something to do with their hands while expressing how they are feeling. They are really helping the students talk things out, while also practicing counting and color recognition, \r\nWe are also loving our new science materials. One of the fun things the students are doing is using the magnifying glasses to go on \"hunts\" around the classroom. We are practicing new vocabulary, like big and small, close and far to name a few. We are also loving the color viewers. They are using descriptive words when talking about the new materials ( specifically the sparkly moana skirt! ) \r\nWe have been loving the puppets and using silly voices when creating stories about them! Students have also been expanding their fine motor skills by dressing the baby dolls in their new outfits!
