When I first wanted to start this art project I realized that I did not have enough foam sheet, and my printing ink was old and all dried up. I decided to try to get my project funded. \r\n\r\nMy students were very excited to be able to create their snake prints and use real artist materials. The lightening, STEM materials, and trampoline have been well received my by class.\r\nThe STEM materials have allowed my class to think creatively and work cooperatively during free play times. The lighting has allowed use to no longer be dependent on harsh fluorescent lights, allowing for a more sensory friendly learning environment. \r\nLast but certainly not least, the trampoline is the class favorite. Our Holidays Around the World unit is a tradition in 2nd grade. I was so happy that I was able to have this event this school year with my current group of students. During the month of December we learned about 14 different countries and their Holiday traditions. \r\n\r\nTo culminate the unit, we enjoyed a Holidays Around the World Celebration where we sampled entrees, drinks, and desserts representing the various countries. The students played games and participated in other traditions that are common in the countries. This is one of the favorite memories of second graders every year.
