The ability to regulate emotions and relate to others is an important skill for a healthy, happy child. Mindfulness lowers anxiety, creates self awareness and can establish an overall sense of well being to shape a well rounded individual. Today, school is more than reading, writing and math. My role as a school counselor is to help instill a source of social/emotional regulation to all of my students. These materials can be used across all areas of my counseling program from large group presentation to individual sessions and will help me guide my students in achieving the ability to navigate the many situations elementary school has to offer, from getting along with others to learning how to manage large emotions.
