The new setup allows students to independently choose books that match their interests, which has dramatically boosted their enthusiasm for reading. Even my most reluctant readers are now excited to curl up in the corner with a book.\r\n\r\nNow that the students are deeply engaged with the new space, we are ready for the next step. We are launching a \"Partner Reading\" activity, where students will select books together from the corner to practice reading aloud and sharing stories with their classmates. They were invited to wear aprons from home, and decorate a baking hat in school. \r\nSo many of the students have never had the opportunity to bake cookies at home so this was a real treat for them.
