The new resources from this project will allow science club to take that excitement even further through hands-on learning.\r\n\r\nFor many of our students, these materials will provide experiences they may not otherwise have access to because we are a rural Title I school with very limited funding for extracurricular STEM opportunities. When students see a box of new science materials arrive, their reaction is immediate—questions begin, ideas start flowing, and they want to know, \"What are we going to do with this?\" That excitement is exactly what we hope to create: students who are eager to explore, experiment, and discover. Which was exactly the reaction I got when our supplies starting showing up for this project.\r\n\r\nAs our clubs continue, students will use these resources to complete increasingly challenging investigations and STEM projects. They will work collaboratively, collect and analyze data, document their findings, and share what they have learned with their peers and our school community. We also hope to connect students with real-world STEM careers and community opportunities so they can begin to see how the science they are doing today connects to their futures. This proect does exactly that as we continue to learn about aquaponics.\r\n\r\nMost importantly, these resources will help us create moments when students stop and say, \"Wow! I did that!\" Those moments are the heart of science education.
