Students are choosing spots that truly help them focus—some prefer sitting low on the floor with a book in hand, while others use the wobble chairs to stay engaged while they work. During small group instruction, I've noticed students are more settled, more willing to participate, and more confident sharing their ideas.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, the excitement was real. There were big smiles, lots of curiosity, and a few \"This is so cool!\" moments. What stood out most, though, was how quickly that excitement turned into ownership. We talked about choosing a seat that helps you learn best, and my students really took that to heart. They're not just enjoying the seats—they're using them with purpose.\r\n\r\nRight now, we're working on building strong reading comprehension skills, especially using evidence to support our thinking. These new seating options are already helping students stay focused longer and engage more deeply with their work. As we move into more writing and discussion-based activities, I'm excited to see how this continues to support their growth and confidence.\r\n\r\nThank you for being part of our classroom and helping create a space where all students can feel comfortable, supported, and ready to learn.","fullyFundedDate":1766244590845,"projectUrl":"project/building-readers-one-cozy-chair-at-a-ti/9966641/","projectTitle":"Building Readers, One Cozy Chair at a Time","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Hunter","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7050231_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1689035648116","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7050231"},{"teacherId":1458381,"projectId":9560760,"letterContent":"I am writing to express my heartfelt gratitude on behalf of the students in my classroom for your incredibly kind and generous donations. Your support has made a remarkable difference in our celebration, and I want to share with you just how much your contributions meant to all of us.\r\n\r\nWhen the gifts and prizes arrived, the students were absolutely thrilled! Their eyes lit up with excitement as they saw the variety of new and engaging items that you so thoughtfully provided. It was truly heartwarming to watch their eager faces as they explored everything. The joy and enthusiasm filled the room, creating an atmosphere of celebration and happiness that was unforgettable.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has not only provided physical items but has also given my students a sense of being valued and supported. Knowing that there are people who care enough to invest in their happiness and education is a powerful message for these young learners. It motivates them to keep striving, learning, and growing with confidence.\r\n\r\nAs their teacher, seeing their excitement and gratitude firsthand has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career. Your donations have helped create memories that my students will cherish for a long time. More importantly, you have contributed to a positive and nurturing classroom environment where students feel encouraged to engage enthusiastically in their learning.\r\n\r\n My students and I are deeply grateful for your continued belief in the importance of education and your willingness to help celebrate their successes.","fullyFundedDate":1759163980944,"projectUrl":"project/celebrate-good-times-cmon/9560760/","projectTitle":"Celebrate Good Times, C'mon!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. L.","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp1458381_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1463584919537","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/1458381"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_53569","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":857,"numTeachers":56,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":5,"percentBlack":8,"percentWhite":69,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":6,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"4 - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"15.3:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":80.0,"schoolId":53569,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Colonial Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Colonial Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/pennsylvania/colonial-school-district/colonial-elementary-school/53569"}
