The materials have been used and appreciated by the students.\r\n\r\nA new student recently transitioned into my class. He has had a difficult time adjusting to his new environment and would not sit in a chair, only sitting/laying on the floor or pacing. He has gotten more comfortable and has been observed to sit for extended periods in the donated rocking chair! I was even able to assist a former student in another classroom by giving her teacher one of the two rocking chairs. Visual supports like the coping skills poster and Bubble Double: Visualizing Social Skills for Connection give students concrete strategies they can use in real time. Additionally, tools like the Stress Less & Self-Care Cards and calming sensory strips provide immediate, hands-on ways for students to regulate their emotions and feel more in control.\r\n\r\nI am already seeing students open up more, practice coping strategies with confidence, and return to class better prepared to learn.
