My students and I have already put the new materials to great use. I pride myself on creating a classroom where students have multiple ways to learn and express themselves, whether that means practicing problems together on individual whiteboards, collaborating with classmates on vertical whiteboards, or using crayons and markers to bring a creative project to life.\r\n\r\nWhen the new supplies arrived, my students were excited to see all of the fresh markers, crayons, and other materials available to them. Something as simple as having new, colorful supplies can make a classroom activity feel more exciting and gives students more opportunities to show their learning in ways that work best for them.\r\n\r\nOne recent example was using the new supplies for a collaborative math activity where students worked together at vertical whiteboards to solve problems, explain their thinking, and learn from one another. Moving around the room and seeing students confidently share their work and discuss different approaches was such a great classroom moment. We will continue building on these skills in our upcoming lessons, using the new materials for collaborative practice, creative projects, and activities that allow students to demonstrate their understanding in different ways.\r\n\r\nThe tissues and hand sanitizer have also already become classroom essentials; especially during back-to-school germ season! Your generosity has given our classroom a much-needed reset and has helped create a space that feels bright, welcoming, and well-equipped.\r\n\r\nThank you for investing in my students and helping me maintain a classroom where they feel safe, comfortable, accepted, and excited to learn.
