With the Teachers Pay Teachers gift card, I was able to purchase engaging lessons, hands-on activities, and interactive resources that helped make learning more meaningful and exciting for my students. These materials gave me access to creative ways to teach skills while meeting students at different learning levels. Instead of relying only on worksheets or textbooks, students were able to participate in games, movement activities, differentiated practice, and visually engaging lessons that helped bring concepts to life.\r\n\r\nThe most exciting part for students was that learning suddenly felt different. They loved seeing colorful activities, themed lessons, and hands-on projects that felt more like games than work. Their excitement was immediate. Students would often ask, \"Are we doing another activity like yesterday?\" or become excited as soon as they saw new materials being passed out. Even routine skill practice became something they looked forward to.\r\n\r\nSome of the students who especially connected with these resources were those who sometimes struggled to stay engaged during traditional lessons. I saw students who were usually hesitant to participate become more confident and willing to take risks because the activities felt approachable and fun. The ability to provide materials that matched different learning styles and needs helped create more opportunities for every student to experience success. I am so grateful to have had resources that helped make learning more engaging, memorable, and accessible for all of my students.","fullyFundedDate":1636857183977,"projectUrl":"project/third-grade-fun/5905695/","projectTitle":"Third Grade Fun","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Presley","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7863080_orig.jpg?crop=956,956,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1634141190404","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7863080"},{"teacherId":7863080,"projectId":5825483,"letterContent":"Your donors gave our classroom so much more than supplies — they gave my students opportunities to explore, create, problem-solve, and think like engineers. We have been using the STEM materials during hands-on projects and challenge activities that encourage students to work together and think creatively. One of my favorite moments was watching students completely light up while testing and redesigning their creations. They quickly learned that sometimes something not working the first time wasn't failure at all — it was simply an opportunity to improve and try again.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the materials, they were incredibly excited. There were lots of wide eyes, smiles, and questions about what we would be building first. Many students immediately started sharing ideas and making predictions about what they could create. Some of my quieter students, who don't always jump into classroom discussions, became leaders during our STEM activities and confidently shared ideas with their teammates. It was wonderful to see students discover strengths they didn't even realize they had.\r\n\r\nAs we continue using these resources, my students will keep building their problem-solving and collaboration skills through new STEM challenges and projects. They are learning how to ask questions, test ideas, work through frustration, and think critically. Skills that reach far beyond our classroom walls. Thank you for helping create experiences that make learning exciting and memorable for my students. Your generosity has made a lasting impact on our classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1640623095230,"projectUrl":"project/stem-learning-here-we-come/5825483/","projectTitle":"STEM Learning, Here We Come!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Presley","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7863080_orig.jpg?crop=956,956,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1634141190404","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7863080"},{"teacherId":9748328,"projectId":10016973,"letterContent":"I cannot thank you enough for providing the books for my complex communication needs students. Having the books that pair with my lessons has been an unbelievably valuable resource at my school. I have been able to do targeted therapy sessions using the provided books to not only address reading, but to incorporate writing into the curriculum as well.\r\n\r\nI have one student in fourth grade that primarily uses his AAC device to communicate. The books have provided a wealth of new vocabulary as well as opportunities to target core words for functional use. It's been wonderful to hear his excited commentary while reading the pigeon books! \r\n\r\nUtilizing the books in my speech classroom has also enticed students with more traditional communication methods to join in with my complex communicators. Students I serve that use their biological voice to communicate have opted to join in our reading and writing sessions with the new books available to them. \r\n\r\nAdditionally, I have used A Different Pond in therapy sessions with students that use their biological voice. I have used this book to discuss things such as feelings, conclusions, characters, and the problems of a story. I really appreciate having books from authors that represent different cultures available to my students.\r\n\r\nIt means the world to me that you took the time to support my students.\r\n\r\nI greatly appreciate your generosity.","fullyFundedDate":1769177345075,"projectUrl":"project/building-a-literacy-library-for-complex/10016973/","projectTitle":"Building a Literacy Library for Complex Communicators","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Marybeth","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9748328"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_87999","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":291,"numTeachers":20,"percentFrplEligible":65,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":1,"percentWhite":65,"percentIndigenous":1,"percentLatinx":20,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":8,"gradesServed":"K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"14.6:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_SMALL"},"inStateSupporters":74.5,"schoolId":87999,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Elizabeth Page Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Elizabeth Page Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/oregon/springfield-school-district-19/elizabeth-page-elementary-school/87999"}
