The Distance Learning Playbook, written by three esteemed authors, Fisher, Frey and Hattie, after the "crisis teaching" situation last spring, will be the center of our staff book study. The chapters include establishing teacher-student relationships from a distance, teacher credibility, clarity, student engagement, planning instructional units and feedback, assessing and grading. As a staff, we will collaborate to create the best possible distance learning for our students and families. This book emphasizes teaching for engagement and impact and included more than 50 video clips from actual teachers. WIth our staff budget frozen this year, this funding will provide nutrition during our staff book study and the basic supplies needed by our teachers and students.
