New tools are a real treat for my students. They couldn't wait to try them out.\r\n\r\nEvery learner processes the world differently. At Dorena School, we aim to meet every child where they are at and provide them with the supports that they need. These new resources—including our fidget tools, chair bands and feet, and calming items—give students a safe way to regulate their energy and soothe their minds. These items help to support the Zones of Regulation, used throughout our district.\r\n\r\nDuring lessons and quiet work times, students who once felt overwhelmed can now re-center themselves quickly. They stay engaged, focus better, and build the confidence they need to reach their goals. We are helping them to learn the regulation skills that will support them as they continue through school and beyond.\r\n\r\nThank you for believing in an inclusive classroom where every unique learning need is met with kindness and support.
