Organization is so important to a kindergarten classroom's success. Students thrive on routine and systems. When providing tools like seat sacks to house student supplies students can take ownership of their learning and become independent in the classroom.\r\n\r\nEach student has a seat sack on the back of their chair. Students keep their box of crayons, scissors, a glue stick, a whiteboard marker, and an eraser in a little bag within their seat sack. Then they use the bigger part of the seat sack to house their whiteboard, their morning work folder, and their envelope that holds their tickets they earn for good behavior as well as various other learning tools including an alphabet chart and 100's chart. Students are taught how to organize and clean out their seat sacks which we do on a regular basis. Since students sit at tables and not traditional desks with under-desk storage this system helps the whole classroom stay organized.\r\n\r\nThank you so much for your support! Students were so engaged in the differentiated decodable book resources throughout this whole year. These decodables have had a tremendous impact on my primary student's confidence when reading. They get so excited to read the words confidently and at times literally shouting out in shock, \"Mrs. Beus I just read that whole sentence. I'm a reader!\" I am so thankful for your support of our classroom learning community. My students and I cannot thank you enough for your generous contribution.
