Many students lack the resources to purchase supplies, and often students forget or lose notes and assignments when they don't have a way to keep track of them.\r\nFrom an equity lens, it's beyond helpful to be able to provide every student the same supplies to begin with. Very few students already have an organizational system to begin with, and the ability to model the organization for them gets them off to a good start.\r\nThis was the first year I taught Data Reasoning using the coding platform Pyret. This was challenging for me, but many students struggled. I was grateful to have my own notebook that could mirror theirs and be confident they would have the materials necessary to create a reference book for themselves. \r\nThis was not only helpful during class, but many students asked if they could keep the notebook.
