The students were very excited to see the new stools. Prior to receiving them, all of the students had been seated on Home Depot buckets, and the buckets were several years old. The stools have been such an improvement, and my school was even willing to purchase small pillows to go atop them.\r\nAfter having several cellos donated a few years back (when we didn't have enough to cover the demand for our new cello class), we really didn't have a safe way for students to transport them to and from school. Now with the new case, one of the students is not only transporting the large instrument safely but is also able to open the case easier and practice more often.\r\nBeing a Title 1 school often makes it difficult to get consumable materials. Because of this, our strings classes have usually shared a small number of rosin cakes. Now that each student has their own, we are able to start classes sooner, and they can also rosin their bows at home. \r\nHaving received the voice amplification speaker and microphone has made it easier for students to hear me. The headset mics have also made it easier to be heard in performances. We have also used the metronome in our classes and the pitch pipe.
