My school district requires ink for colored printers to be supplied by teacher's who use it. This is not something I would be able to supply without the help of Donors and Donors Choose. \r\nWith the ink in this project I have been able to print off math resources for my students. Not only is the colored ink visually appealing, it serves as a way to organize the information as well. My students enjoy being able to print off their writing with their pictures printed in color. Adding a picture is a huge incentive for some of my students to complete their writing. This projects donations are a perfect example of that. At the start of the year I was thrilled to have new bulletin board trim. The previous trim had served us well for several years and was ready for it's retirement. \r\nCurrently my students are enjoying having good white board markers to use. Many of my students prefer working out their math problems on white boards. I am thankful to have enough white board markers to allow them to do this. Last year we ran out of lined paper. This became problematic. I am thankful to know that it won't happen this year. \r\nMy favorite items from this project were our tape dispensers. These will be extremely useful when we do our roller coasters STEM activity towards the end of the school year. My students were ecstatic when they saw them. Many of them do not like the feel of cheaper headphones. They hurt their ears and break easily. Since we received our new headphones we have not had a single set break! \r\nI am appreciative of the fact that I now have enough quality headphones in my classroom that every student has access to them. Before, I would have to depend on some students to take the lesser quality ones. Having color ink is a huge incentive for my students in writing. When my students finish their writing they add a picture to go along with the topic. Being able to print their picture in color allows for it to look exactly how they pictured it. \r\nI have also used the ink from this project to create colorful and engaging resources for my students. Once resource is a fractions sheet that show the fraction bars in different colors. Not only does it make for a visually appealing tool, it helps students to organize the information as well.
